To put it plainly, the recarburizer for steelmaking is to increase the carbon content in the molten iron. The recarburizer for ironmaking is used for forging, pig iron, and steel casting. Commonly used refueling waste in smelting is cast iron, scrap steel, reheating scrap, and cast iron The carbon content is high, but the purchase price of relatively scrap steel is higher than one section. Therefore, increasing the supply of scrap steel, reducing the supply of cast iron, and adding recarburizers can have a certain effect of reducing the cost of castings.


Common recarburizers for steelmaking include recarburizing cast iron, electrical grade powder, petroleum coke powder, charcoal powder, and coke powder. In the entire process of the smelter, due to poor seasoning or discharging and excessive carburization, sometimes the carbon content of the steel does not meet the requirements of the top period. At this time, it is necessary to increase the carbon in the desolubilization. In steelmaking furnaces and smelting plants of medium and medium carbon steel, petroleum coke with very little residue is used as a recarburizer. The requirements for the recarburizer for top-blown converter steelmaking are that the fixed carbon should be high, the ash, volatile content, sulfur, phosphorus, nitrogen and other residues should be low, and it should be dry, tidy, and have a moderate particle size distribution.


In the high-frequency electric furnace smelting, the steelmaking recarburizer can be added to the middle and lower positions of the electric furnace according to the preparation or carbon equivalent regulations, and the utilization rate can reach above 95%; if the carbon amount is not enough to adjust the carbon time-sharing chart, use the net first The slag in the furnace is added with a recarburizer. According to the temperature increase of the molten iron, electromagnetic induction mixing or manual mixing, the carbon is melted, digested and absorbed, and the utilization rate can be around 90%. If the ultra-low temperature recarburization process is selected, only part of the recycled waste is melted , When the molten iron temperature is low, all the recarburizers are added to the molten iron at one time, and the solid reheating waste is used to press it into the molten iron to prevent the surface of the molten iron from being exposed. In this way, the carbon increase of molten iron reaches above 1.0%. Therefore, in the smelting application of the recarburizer in the induction heating furnace, it is also different according to the processing technology regulations.
